On June 1, 2025, the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) will begin replacing by the new Army Fitness Test (AFT), as outlined in Army Directive 2025-06. With that transition comes more than a change in testing protocol—it’s a shift in how readiness is defined and measured across the force.
At SiteWell Solutions, we recognize that testing well doesn't always mean performing well in the real world. That’s why our human performance model is built to support both.
The AFT consists of five events: max deadlift, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, plank, and a 2-mile run. There are no more test options like the SPT (standing power throw), and combat MOSs now face a 350-point minimum threshold. Soldiers must test more frequently, with stricter retest timelines after a failure.
The new test may be a requirement—but it doesn’t have to be a roadblock. Our job is to help soldiers and units rise to the standard while building habits that last long after the scorecard is filled out.
